3 Tips to write heartfelt wedding vows!

"What if I told you that writing heartfelt wedding vows isn’t as hard as it seems — when you focus on the right things? 💍 ✨
Save this post for when those blank pages stare back at you! 📝
If you're overwhelmed by where to start or worried your vows won’t fully capture your story, you're not alone. I’ve seen countless couples struggle with this. The truth is, your love story is already perfect—your vows just need to show it.
💡 So, how do you write wedding vows that truly reflect your bond? Here are 3 foolproof tips from the heart of my 17 years of celebrancy:
1️⃣ Go Back to Where It All Began
Close your eyes and relive the moment you met. Was it a random encounter? A major twist of fate? Use raw details from that moment—like the way their eyes lit up or the curveball life threw your way—to show why they’re the one. (Bonus: Specific details tug at heartstrings!)
2️⃣ Speak Their Language
Think about them. Are they sucker for humor or poetic charm? Tailor your tone to reflect who they are and what makes your dynamic unique. For example, if they’re always cracking jokes, weave in a shared inside one. If they're deeply sentimental, keep it tender and timeless.
3️⃣ Promise Tangibly, Not Abstractly
Instead of “I promise to love you forever,” say, “I promise to warm up the car on those chilly Qld winter mornings because I know how much you hate the cold.” These little specifics show not only love but an understanding of their world—and that’s where vows become unforgettable magic. 💖
I am here to help you all the way, and once you have finished your vows, you can email them to me and I will print them out, pop them into my pretty vow folders and hand them to you when it is time.
